Scott Twynholm is a Scottish composer and musician. With a focus on melody and sonic texture his work often spans the worlds of contemporary classical and experimental electronic composition. He was a member of Looper with Stuart David of Belle and Sebastian, and released solo records under the Metrovavan pseudonym, the first release of which picked up single of the month in Record Collector Magazine. Music from Looper appeared in many films including Vanilla Sky (Music from the Motion Picture) and Palm D'or nominated Edukators. Film scoring credits include Alasdair Gray: A Life in Progress , multi-media artist Rachel Maclean's 2018 feature Make Me Up and Martyn Robertson’s award winning 2022 feature Ride The Wave, which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival. Alasdair Gray: A Life in Progress and Ride The Wave are available as soundtrack albums via De-Fence Records. In 2023 he scored James Price's drama series Dog Days for BBC iPlayer. His music is published by Mute Song.
