After 20 years touring 6 continents as half of legendary Los Angeles hip-hop group People Under The Stairs, Christopher “Thes One” Portugal retired PUTS in 2019 with the release of their final album. It’s debut as number one rap album in the US Charts capped an extraordinary career that included a full page farewell from the Los Angeles Times, an appearance on The Simpson’s 20th Anniversary Special, a John Peele Session at Abbey Road, numerous chartings on Billboard and groundbreaking headline performances at worldwide festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Bottlerock, Governors Ball, Bonaroo and many more. With touring in the past, Thes One continues to work as a music producer, mentor to younger artists and occasional vocalist on specialty projects.
