For Royal Ryan, being in the music industry is much less about making money or building acclamation, & more importantly about using music as a medium to reach out to people & influence them for the better. Before becoming an artist, Royal Ryan was in a very dark place in life. He was only trying to come to terms with his step-father's death due to a drug overdose when he also lost his grandmother to lung cancer. Unable to find peace in such a situation & plagued by suicidal thoughts, Royal Ryan turned to take synthetic cannabinoids such as k2. Substance abuse is never the solution & only causes more harm but Royal Ryan realized this too late. In 2018 Royal Ryan discovered music as a possible answer to his pain.
Over the next three years, he kept practicing music & worked on turning his personal experiences into heartfelt compositions. During this time Royal Ryan also took inspiration from several legendary artists such as Eminem, J Cole, Russ, Mac Miller, Nipsey Hustle, Juice Wrld, Chester Bennington, and Kurt Cobain to name just a few. In particular, it was Eminem who made Royal Ryan fall in love with hip hop and ultimately, write his own rap verses. By 2021, Royal Ryan was ready to rebrand into a professional artist. He also had a son on the way to provide him with daily motivation. Depression still resides within him, but Royal Ryan is now ready to put these emotions into his lyrics and share them with those who suffer from the same.
