A first generation artist, Decifer was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. His parents migrated from El Salvador and Guatemala to the U.S. Decifer began rapping at the age of 18. Throughout his childhood and adolescence, Decifer was influenced by lyrical rap and west coast hip-hop. His parents would play latin music like cumbias; Decifer was inspired at fiestas to express his cultural roots through music. His determination to become a musician led him to establish strong connections with local talent, such as artists, producers, and DJ's. Decifer's most memorable accomplishment was when Jimmy Fallon and The Roots played his song "Prius" during the COVID-19 Pandemic back in May, 2020. The song has since received thousands of plays throughout the world.
