Los Tatunga is an electronic music duo (Maria Antillón and David Ch), started as a house music project, ESPN programmed a remix of their first song "Solamente" for some College Football games of the Western Conference in 2012. Their first album "Los Tatunga" was nominated at ACAM's award for best electronic music in 2014 along with Huba & Silica and Patterns. Until that date they only appear as Djs in different clubs in San José Costa Rica. Their album “Goza el Ritmo” was the winner of the 2016 ACAM award for best electronic music album 2014-15, finding and highlighting the sounds of Latin music, this leads them to build a live proposal, merging electronic beats with vocals and percussion instruments. They have participated in important electronic music festivals, their music has been used in movies and advertising, among them the most prominent "Lexus" ad. They have also created theater-specific music. Los Tatunga made a Central American tour, participated in the "NU Honduran festival" and have had the participation of other performing musicians. Their third album, Heart, won the ACAM award for the best electronic music album of 2016, for the second consecutive time. Now they have come back in 2020 with "Happydarkypop", each one recording with what they have available at home.
