Reality SoulJah is the founder of Reality Sound System. Born with a passion for music he started his musical journey at an early age playing sound system and toasting the mic guided by his late father Gladstone Henderson, a pioneering sound system creator since the 1970s. Surrounded by an unstable social and political climate growing up in London, UK, he was drawn to the poignant message of roots reggae and rockers music coming from his father’s homeland Jamaica as well as the Jazz, Blues and R'n’B influence from the United States which carried the same stories of the struggle for equal opportunity and liberation. This message of love, equality and empowerment has been maintained with his song writing and social commentary throughout his time with his vocal group Reality SoulJahs and now as a solo artist. With an extensive discography and performances internationally he now embarks on new projects with his SoulDub Music label as well as maintaining his Roots Reggae on his Reality Sound system record label and also music with the collaboration project that is Garvey’s Ghost.
