Diagnosed with a chronic disease at the age of 2 years old, Tru Vocalz found educating his community and writing poetry became his musical medicine. At the age of fourteen Tru Vocalz discovered his ability to sing and from there spent years shaping his craft. An artist of many roles, Tru Vocalz credits his musical foundation to being raised around the essence of Old School Doo Woop and R&B such as e Delfonics. Tru Vocalz is the son of Vernon Sawyer of Blue Magic and songwriter Carol Davis. Groomed in authenticity and polished in stage presence, e music of Tru Vocalz emphasizes catchy hooks blended chill hop melodies and a unique 3.5 vocal range. Tru Vocalz is currently performing along the east coast and available now on Pandora, Spotify and Apple Music.
