Born Chandler Kovacevich in 1999, CK SLAM is a Seattle native. Music has been a big part of his life because he was classically trained in the trumpet and spent countless hours shooting hoops listening to rap. He goes to college at the University of Washington, where he rows for Men's Crew team. For his first 3 years of college, schoolwork and rowing practices made him feel like he did not have time to practice the trumpet or pursue any music career. Then everything changed when the COVID-19 outbreak occurred in 2020 because he found more free time and dedicated a majority of his time to learning how to use the DAW FL Studio. After less than a year of learning how to produce music, he released his first song Doe. in September on all streaming platforms, racking up just over 800 streams by the end of 2020. CK SLAM's music is all produced, mixed, mastered, written, and recorded by himself within his studio converted bedroom. His rapping style is heavily influenced by the unique melodic flows of Juice WRLD and his beats are influenced by the works of Internet Money, Metro Boomin, and Pi’erre Bourne. He currently resides in Seattle, WA, working on his double degree in Business Administration (Finance & Marketing) and Communication at the University of Washington. CK SLAM spends time everyday working on his album, which will make it's debut in October 2021.
