Jay Da G was born and raised in Jonesboro,Arkansas, and made his first song at the age of 8. Looking back on those songs Jay Da G has drastically improved his lyricism, production, and style since he was a child. The content of Jay’s music is primarily stories of his time in the streets, and the hardships he faced. He grew up in the church and on the basketball courts but he reached a point where he had to find a way to support his family. He faced incarceration and charges since the age of 12 and has experienced a lot of hate and prejudice within his city. A majority of his lyrics are driven by these experiences but his style remains versatile. Jay Da G can work with all types of sound from, trap, r&b, party music, and much more. When it comes to his recording process Jay Da G tends to work alone in the studio or bring just his brother who is an artist as well. He has always been independent However, he is still open to features when the collaboration is right. Most recently he worked with Gabriel Avrette of Authentic Empire music group, Outside of music, he is focused on setting up his LLC for business purposes and finding opportunities to invest in. Music is his main focus but he doesn't want it to be his only opportunity. Although he talks a lot about the streets, he doesn't want that life to be given a positive light. Jay Da G wants to stress the importance of school to the youth and showing appreciation to your parents while they’re still here.
