Shawn Hook, the newly engaged pop singer-songwriter known for hits like “Reminding Me”, “Sound of Your Heart,” and "Bigger Than The Night" is celebrating his recovery from tonsil cancer with new music on the horizon. His upcoming single, “Magic,” marks his comeback after a challenging year. Despite the daunting diagnosis that threatened his career, Shawn is in remission and plans to rebuild his vocal strength and return to touring under his new label, Infinity & Recordings. In 2023, Shawn faced his toughest year but found support in new projects, including a feature on the Banker Boys' track “Out of My Head.” His resilience shone through during a charity collaboration on a cover of “Last Christmas” with Virginia To Vegas & Friends, benefiting the Canadian Cancer Society. Before his diagnosis, Shawn experienced a sudden health scare that led to discovering a neck mass. After confirming the cancer, he underwent extensive medical procedures in both Canada and the U.S. His recovery included holistic practices and physiotherapy, alongside efforts in music production. As he looks to 2024, Shawn focuses on leveraging his second chance to reignite his career and continue making an impact through his music and personal story.
