Loser Supreme is a one-man multi-instrumentalist and producer project born from the blown-out palette and co-creations of Sam Seguin. Growing up under the same country roof as four musical families will turn a kid into one thing: a sound wizard with access to every stringed instrument under the sun. As early as junior high, he started doing his time in the typical pile of half-baked, short-lived juvenile bands before striking road gold with some seniors from a neighboring school. When they tossed the lead guitar his way in eleventh grade, high school was instantly left behind. For the next ten years, in band after band and tour after tour, his guitar served as his ticket to ride, but slowly became a monolithic weight around his neck. Guitar rock glory turned into a creative wasteland. Looking for some new semblance of creative purpose, he landed under the apprenticing wing of a shoemaker, an adultified punk kid turning leather day and night to the skateboarding tunes of the nineties. With every shift, the hip hop and electronic hypnosis brought him back to his middle school skate obsession and the faded VHS tapes on repeat. With that early 00’s experimental, textured and sample-based sound back in his ears, he finalized his romantic break-up with the guitar and musically cleaned house. Production rolled out from a gradual crack of the knuckles as he inhabited a space he never thought he could to finally make music he’d always loved.
