Music resides within us as a driving, effervescent force. Both creator and listener develop a relationship with the tones of the music and the lyrics, which in turn stirs our emotions. As young debut recording artists in 2003, it felt euphoric to be able to perform and create music in a melting pot of camaraderie, new acquaintances, inspiration and youth. Being a musician, invited into a community where interest could be nurtured together with others and writing songs, made us feel like we could fly. We want now to embark on a new chapter with our music. With - Sounds Behind the Sun, we wanted to come together to create something that we wouldn’t necessarily have wanted to do individually. We wanted to form a band with its own style, a collective where impulses and inspiration intertwine and transform into new music, new sounds, a new vision and a new journey. We dreamed of playing as a band. The name hints at the unknown: a lonely, majestic place with reverberations from another world.
