Cosmic Velocity aka Mac Mega previously known as Velocity. Producer/Musician/Rap Lyricist , coming from a humble background in East Sussex UK. A keyboard player and drummer, gigged around his local town from an early age with a Rock n Roll/Soul covers band. He started making his own music at 16, put together a small bedroom studio,meeting Fullmarx and DJ Jonny Jazz, and making tracks. Cosmic went to college and later uni to learn his pro craft, graduating in 2010 with a BA in Music Production. 2010 saw the year of his debut Hip-hop album; Truthspeaker , a collab with Colossal and others. In 2013 Cosmic, Fullmarx, DJ Jonny Jazz and Gambian Lyricist Kanasu Barz released Eclectic Vision EP. 2013 also saw the Buzz festival with the Fathead Records crew (YouTube). In 2014 Cosmic Velocity joined the Live Drum and Bass band ‘Darkmatta’ ,went on to be the main producer,live keys/sample player, and an MC, releasing 3 EPs and having many tracks played on BBC introducing, for whom they did 2 live lounge sessions and Hastings Fat Tuesday. Other gigs include Electric Circus, Boomtown,Beautiful Days ,and 2 appearances at Glastonbury, the latter playing the Glade stage to critical acclaim. Unfortunately the group dissolved in 2020.During this time Cosmic released 2 solo DnB albums ,and tracks on High Energy Recordings label.Recent activity is making Real Hip-hop with his musical brothers ; Righteous Ethics Project, who have created 2 EPs over last 3 years set for release in early 2024.
