Born in Coney Island, this Brooklyn singer has known all his life that he was meant to sing. R. Notes recalls a time in 4th grade when he was sent to the corner for misbehaving and to calm himself down; he started singing. The teacher asked “why are you singing?, There’s nothing to be happy about” R. Notes replied simply “because I like too”. 
 Raised in a single parent household R. Notes never let any of his setbacks get to him. The only way to go was forward and he rarely looked back. R. Notes wrote his first song at the age of 14 and has been taken by music ever since then. R. Notes music is a mixture of Neo-soul, pop, R&B, and hip hop.
