Pronounced [sin-is-theet]
Electronic musician and remixer from Upstate New York. Real life synesthete.
Debuting in 2017 with "This Space Is Statically Assigned", the EP, which included fan-favorite "Weekender", was hailed as "the best CHVRCHES album they never wrote" by Echosynthetic.net, and second single "Highrise" - a high-energy and darker synthpop track reminiscent of Depeche Mode. In 2018, a follow-up single, "Eclipse" ft. Christina Rotondo, the first Synesthete track with vocals, released, and was called an "explosive" piece of "galactic synthpop" featured on the front page of Aupium.
Later that year, Synesthete (the project of longtime musician Dan Dellecese), looked to themes closer to home, such as childhood, nostalgia, and the passage of time for "Episodic Memory" - his debut album that focused on a window in time with then-2-year-old son. With brighter cinematic textures and infectious melodies a la M83, The Album Leaf, and others, Dellecese painted a world of yellows and oranges, watching time pass by slowly, yet quickly before his eyes, witnessing his son's growth.
Multiple singles would follow, and a long-form EP exploring morning and evening through music in "Awake / Asleep". Multiple albums would release in 2021 - "It Comes in Waves", "Fractions", and "After Summer", influenced by artists like Lane 8, Amtrac, Tycho, and others.
2023 saw the return of three new singles ahead of his fifth album, "Being in a Dream".
