Noonan has been described as a "21st century Renaissance man." This multi-instrumentalist / composer / producer (of over 10 albums) also has had careers as an environmental activist, a Park Avenue management consultant, a Harvard PhD in decision sciences, and award-winning analytics professor. Now in his 60s, Patrick has launched a new creative explosion, not only in his fiction and non-fiction writing, but also by returning to his first career - and first love - making and recording music. Patrick grew up in Springfield, Illinois, but began 20 years in the Northeast at age 18. There he recorded and toured with Laurasia, before pursuing several advanced university degrees and a starting his professional career. In 1993 he moved to Atlanta, and in 2023 to Greensboro NC. The years 2019-2022 saw an explosion of creative output: 3 albums of new music with Outer Park ("1968," "Whole Lotta Orange" and "Blood from an Orange"), plus a two-part reworking and re-imagining of a 1996 solo album ("Beat Noir" and "Beat Nouveau"). In September 2023, Laurasia released an album of new music, “Brotherhood,” leading up to a 50th anniversary concert in NYC. In 2024, Outer Park released a live album - and is returning to the studio with some new material!
