Known Rebel is an electronic music duo from Ibiza, consisting of Germán Escandell and Jaime Irles. Formed in Barcelona in 2009 while they were students, Jaime and Germán began experimenting with different styles of electronic music such as ambient, electronica, downtempo or dubstep and making making soundtrack style music, mostly inspired by the authenticity of 80's and 90's electronic music and sci-fi movies. In 2010 they self-released their first EP and then their first album "Hollow" the following year on Seattle-based netlabel Ember Music, and the CD version on Tympanik Audio. In 2014 the released the EP "Ocelo" with Mindrick Records. Embracing melodies, catchy beats, and a glowing depth make this band a must-listen for fans of classy bedroom IDM and memorable electronic music.
