Los Angeles Raised, with deep Egyptian roots. Kamel is an artist that has devoted his music, and lyrics to telling his life story. A rapper, singer, and songwriter who is versatile in many genres, and proves so on his 2021 debut EP titled “Egyptian Royal”. He continued to do so on singles like “3Am” which has a mix of his melodic rap, and singing, to his high energy takes on a “trap” song on his latest single this year titled “LAX”. Both of Kamel’s parents come from the coastal city of Alexandria, Egypt, and with him going back and forth throughout his lifetime, it has not only influenced him sonically, but has created a sense of urgency to connect the two places across the globe. Releasing his music through his own label, “Planet of your Own” Kamel believes everyone in this world has their own perspective, and a totally different story than the next person on what the world holds for them. For him, it is his music, art, and the connections he can make throughout the world sonically.
