Marrying the pop sensibility of Charli XCX and defiance of early Lorde, Good Kids sees HALIE lay her gorgeous vocals over a beat heavy arrangement, creating a track which cements her as an artist to watch as we move towards 2020. As tender as she is tough, nineteen-year-old HALIE, AKA Hannah Emilie Grung, sings with the raw edges of Amy Winehouse and all the soulful softness of the American rising star Yebba. In 2018, four singles – including the anthemic Youth and the defiant Not Yours – racked up hundreds of thousands of Spotify plays before she’d even left school.
