Folk/Rock singer-songwriter Bob Knight's lyrics are heartfelt and incisive, yet often infused with a measure of humor or irony. Bob's live show experiences are much like an evening with a friend you haven't seen for years, yet the conversation picks up as though you had never gone your separate ways. His musical sensibilities hearken back to Jackson Browne and the Eagles, but you'll find that he's no clone - Bob's music is original, relateable and convincing. Bob is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, vocalist and producer. His list of achievements include having played with The Cheatin' Hearts, a popular local L.A. country/rock band featuring himself, Sneaky Pete Kleinow (founding member of legendary Flying Burrito Bros.), John Jorgenson (who later went on to play with Elton John) and Rockabilly siren Kittra Moore (wife of Jerry Lee Lewis' bass player, Bob Moore). He simultaneously served with utility giant Verizon's (then GTE) traveling show band as player, arranger and MIDI programmer. He has been working as a sideman and session player ever since, focusing on bass, acoustic, electric and baritone guitars, bouzouki, mandolin, Dobro, lap steel, and hand percussion. Bob's playing has graced a number of Twin-Cities bands. With the release of his second album, Bob is excited to bring to the stage both new tunes and what he calls "Bob Knight's Greatest Misses" - tunes he wrote last week, and some he wrote while still in high school.
