Born and raised in the Bronx New York. B.L.A.D.E. (Black Leader African Dedication Education) has been into music since birth. Whether from home or on television or in the streets, he has a deep passion for music. 
 Singing as a child in elementary school, to rapping in junior high school was the beginning of his journey. He was inspired by such talents as “Special Ed”, “Slick Rick”, and “KRS-1” and others like “Jay-z”, “Eminem”, and “Busta Rhymes”. His course of life growing up in the south Bronx combined with his ora led to Russell Blackwell Jr. becoming B.L.A.D.E. 
 Desire and lack of funding led to the many hats he wears, Artist, Engineer, Promoter, and more, as for years he has written, recorded, mixed, released, performed, and promoted his own music. Now, to add to all this, B.L.A.D.E. has started a movement/business all his own called NoSleep Ent. A strong representation of his heart and mind, as well as his work ethic. Entering a new phase of life, he has been able to get his foot in the door and bring a few of his closest friends, who are also artists, through that same door with him. Ready to give himself to the world through his music as dreams become reality, so begins a new chapter in “The Book Of B.L.A.D.E.”
