Isabel Alvarez, aka Velise, is a singer-songwriter from New York, whose vocal style blends many times and places. Think oldies meets present-day NY meets vintage meets beach. Velise has collaborated with many artists in New York and beyond, including PENPALS, Starlight Girls, Thonio, Evan Crommett, Best Case Scenario, and the East Village All Stars. Isabel studies voice with legendary soprano, Ms. Atarah Hazzan, and has also studied under world-renowned singer, composer and bandleader, Jazzmeia Horn, vocalist-composer Charles Turner, as well as saxophonist-composer Jon De Lucia. Velise's self-titled debut EP, produced by Charles Goold, comes out November 22, 2024. The album’s purpose is “to inspire those who listen to persevere under any circumstances, with the ultimate motivation being love.”
