VYNYL makes music for the underdogs. The chameleonic pop rock band knows more than most what it means to rise to the occasion when the odds are stacked against them. Coming from homelessness and seeking a larger purpose in North Carolina, lead singer John Tyler alongside Andrew Cole, originally hailing from South Africa, founded VYNYL in 2015 as a means to escape their circumstances. The two eventually packed up and moved to Denver, Colorado where they met guitarist, Hunter Heurich. In time, their complementary talents garnered a strong bond that has brought them acclaim and led them to share stages with the likes of 3OH!3, Neon Dreams, blink-182, Breathe Carolina and more. Arriving April 2021, the hard-hitting blitz of their newest EP, The World Is on Fire and I’m Lonely is emblematic of the underdogs coming out on top to deliver their most sonically ambitious effort to date. Angsty and emphatically representative of our times, The World Is on Fire and I’m Lonely marks a new era for the band.
