Tory is a 23-year-old german singer and songwriter with filipino roots. She grew up in the city of Dubai. As singing and karaoke machines are deeply embedded in the filipino culture, her mother would always sing and thus she began singing at an early age too. Tory grew up listening to various music genres which were played and listened to at home. R&B, soul, hip-hop, reggae, rock and NDW - just to name a few. During her young teenage years she discovered Jamaican dancehall, Latin music and afro-beats as her strong passions. Today all of these genres have a huge influence in the production of Tory's songs, which showcase struggles, feelings and thoughts of adolescent life. She writes her songs in both german and english which she speaks fluently. In 2022, her songs are shifting from soft and melancholic melodies to rather vibrant, danceable songs.
