Maria (b. 1990) is a Danish cellist based in Aarhus/Denmark. In 2020 she graduated from the soloist class at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium. Henrik Brendstup. Maria is a curious and dedicated musician and she is always searching for new ways of expression. She likes to create new and different concert forms and has created own concert series and festivals in Aarhus. Maria is a versatile musician and she is active in both Denmark and abroad in many different constellations; as a soloist performing with symphony orchestra, as guest musician in orchestras and as chamber musician in smaller ensembles. She dedicates a lot of her time to contemporary music. This has lead to several premieres and numerous collaborations with composers from all over the world, both as a soloist and as a part of chamber music ensembles.
