Great Highway originally formed as an acoustic guitar-driven indie pop group. Now 10 years and 5 albums later, they have blossomed into a high-energy electronic rock outfit that represents the eclectic electro scene thriving in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their self-produced sound packages sometimes-hopeful, sometimes-sorrowful lyrics with lush, moody vibes similar to Rüfüs du Sol, the powerhouse male-female vocals of a group like Chvrches, and dance-y yet sentimental arrangements a la Hot Chip.
