Born in Flint, MI, Wallace spent much of his adult life teaching, engineering, and composing/producing in the Detroit area. In 2001, Wallace co-founded the hip-hop collective Double Negative People in Detroit, MI. While assisting in creating a music production program and building a recording studio in a high school, Wallace released a three-volume set of instrumental hip-hop called Professional Development (Vol. I- 2016, Vol. 2- 2017, Vol. 3- 2018). Wallace also released the introspective At The End Of The Day in 2019. Wallace entered a doctoral program to study music production's role in education and the use of hip-hop in the classroom at Eastern Michigan University. Wallace also works with production enclave Dirty Ol'Men, an international group of producers who have released dozens of boom-bap and sample-heavy projects in the last half of the 2010s. Wallace executive produced all six of their group projects, including East Grand and Six Feet in 2020. In 2019, Wallace co-founded the Amplify Fellowship in Ann Arbor, MI, providing production, recording, and engineering to Black artists in exchange for service to community organizations.
