Hailing from an era before the relentless grasp of social media, the Hackney-based, indie/disco flâneur, Caspa Codina, has finally emerged from his 15 year hibernation in cryogenic stasis. Pausing his walkman and peeling back the tired foam headphones, Codina has vowed to commit himself on the important mission to bring pop music back to its creative, pre internet heyday. Making a statement with his unique character and groove, whilst taking influence from the timeless talents of David Bowie, Talking Heads, Chic, Rick James and Neptunes, Codina sprinkles a much needed quirky energy on the melting pot that is the current music landscape. His self-effacing, yet optimistic lyrics, paint a picture of someone who’s been through the mill but still hopes to find romance on the dance-floor (without the help of an app).
