Trumpeter/producer Nic Hale Chaffee cut his teeth on the music scene of Long Beach, California, a scene which has become famous for its diversity of musical and cultural influences. In his career as a "hired gun" he has performed around the world with artists as varied as George Clinton, Thievery Corporation and Wu Tang Clan, and he has toured extensively with jam band legends Delta Nove and house jam ensemble BoomBox. Now, he spreads his wings as a solo artist, drawing upon on the wide array of funk and world music sounds that have shaped his style up to this point. The recording studio is truly his "playground," and his original sound combines elements of house, funk, jam, and jazz, all heavily steeped in Nic's signature arsenal of psychedelic effects.
