Hailing from Southern California, BIG MUG GAIL's initial approach was delivering playful tunes laced with grit and sarcasm, while remaining deep rooted in honesty and self-realization. The duo, Ben Moran and Joe Manus, consistently tackled awkward subject matter in an irresistibly catchy fashion. 
 Their self-titled EP released in 2020 was their first global release. With only three songs and a four minute run time, BIG MUG GAIL delivered a surf rock party pack that gave the world a glimpse of their ability to make magic out of the mundane. 
 In 2021, BIG MUG GAIL released their debut album titled ‘Brain Engrained’. The album proved that they could engrain the brain of the listener with a lot more than some silly surf rock. While it could still live in the same realm as the EP, Brain Engrained took every aspect of their world to another level by spanning multiple genres and topics that made for a wild ride from start to finish. Whether they were signing about films they hate, overly honest sexual fantasies or comparing two famous Glenn’s, they never failed to initiate a head bob and a laugh. Shifting tones completely, BIG MUG GAIL released their dark, cinematic and gritty sophomore album, Mental Estate in early 2023. Lowering the humor level and increasing the depth of serious topics, they take you on a tour of their inner most insecurities. Not only is the album an adventure, but every song reveals trap doors, treasures & tricks that reveal themselves with every listen.
