Following a fateful first freestyle, Tio Badhu and passionfruitdilla uncovered their potential as a musical duo. Subsequent to this discovery, the duo initiated deadvntr (pronounced Dead Venture) and warped friendship and music into an endless stream of fun and experimentation, where they engage with a multitude of sounds, ranging from Hip Hop, RnB, Funk, Kwaito, and Jazz. Since 2011, the duo has been on an experimental musical adventure, taking along different genres of music that typically don’t belong together. Their inspiration is drawn from ‘fictional’ sounds that can be brought into a musical reality.
