Bred from the roots of Washington D.C, but molded by way of the Geechie Gullah atmosphere of Charleston, SC ,Rapper and Entertainer Joi Giovanni broke onto the music scene in 2020 debuting her commercially-released single Bad Big Daddy. The single sent the net in a frenzy as the once published model debuted that she not only had body, but she had bars to match. In October of the same year she would debut her studio EP Intentional Controversy to the masses giving insight to past traumas, toxic relationships, and more. She managed to show behind the sex appeal was a swag and rhymes that could hang with the likes of artist like Lil Kim, Nicki Minaj, Foxy Brown, Missy Elliot, Cardi B, and more. Joi Giovanni, also known as JG, entered into the playing field of the female artist with the sweet soft talk, but the deep raw and aggressive rhymes that give the boys a run for their money. In 2021 she took her hit single Bad Big Daddy and made her way on the road opening up for artist like Renni Rucci, LongMoney Phil, Asian Doll and More. She returned back on the scene in 2023 smashing it in the viral Charleston Female Cypher followed by her viral and most streamed single Speak UP released on March 24.
