THE HELGE ALBIN QUINTET Karl-Martin Almqvist Almqvist, Jacob Karlzon, Johnny Åman, Lennart Gruvstedt, Saxophonist and composer Helge Albin with his newly formed quintet consisting of some of the leading musicians on the European jazz scene. The group will present newly writen music by Helge, writen directly for the group and its musicians, As a director of Tolvan Big Band, Helge has collaborated and played together with internatonally recognized musicians such as Michael Brecker, David Liebman, Vince Mendoza and others. Helge Albin has been awarded several prizes Like, Sydsvenska Dagbladet's European award, the Jazz jug and the Guldnålen.
