Matthew Benjamin Smith aka MBS is an original and diverse music producer and DJ from Leicester (UK). MBS began his musical career in the early 2000s, creating original music inspired by the 90s rave/dance culture, using a low budget pc, midi keyboard and basic music production software. MBS's passion for creating music then led him to study a creative music producer course at Leicester College in 2003 that progressed on to higher education, graduating from Confetti Studios (Nottingham UK) in 2007 with a Foundation Degree of Science in Music Technology and Innovation. As an artist, his first release was a collaboration that used his melodic style, combined with the deep and atmospheric sounds of Classroom to create their single 'inception' signed by Sojka Records. Followed shortly after with a second release through the same record label, featuring the incredible vocals of Daniela Rhodes introducing their uplifting and euphoric single 'funky pills'. MBS is due to release his debut solo EP in October 2021, featuring songs 'Orion' and 'Into Abyss' signed by Soluna music record label. As a performer, MBS is currently a resident DJ for 'Subcode' (www.subcode.club) and also for 'Transmission Lost' (aired on www.aatmradio.com and also streamed via the Transmission Lost mixcloud page). MBS will regularly feature his own creative productions within his balearic, melodic, progressive and deep mixes that take you on a magical journey above and beyond euphoria.
