Born and raised from the streets of Johannesburg, Randburg. The 18-year-old artist, Joshua Nevison Nyika (Known as Yung Ckano) lays his impeccable afro, rap and melodic trap skill on any given beat, resulting in receiving traction from all three groups of musical circles. This young blood takes his craft very seriously because, as he says in his track "Want Smoke": "Finally making it out realizing that the game is not a game" Yung initially began his musical journey in 2011 back in primary school, his mission at first was to make music and keep it to himself but the more he recorded, the more the community begun to see his unique delivery at a young age. At the age of 15, in 2017 he released he's 1st mixtape called, New Age EP. The mixtape received a lot of traction and from then he was considered the best to ever touch the mic, to come out from where he came from. Influenced by artist such as A-Reece, WizKid, Koffee and Offset (as well as music from the 80's), The young GOAT continues to keep serving and surprising the nation. The boy continues to pursue his dreams and pay the price of fame.
