John Tuomi III, aka Fake-Bit Rebel, draws inspiration from a range of influences, from the classic 8-bit sounds of video games to the pop-punk stylings of blink-182, as well as the synth-driven anthems of Anamanaguchi and Motion City Soundtrack, as well as the alt-rock sounds of Weezer. His debut EP, “Quarantine Dreams”, is a unique fusion of Fake-Bit/Synthpunk, grunge, pop-punk, and alt-rock, earning praise from A&R Factory for its raucous ingenuity. 
 The NW Indiana-based musician continues to garner attention for his latest works, including a "very interesting performance" on Runaways that earned a 92/100 rating from a record label. Other contemporary artists have drawn comparisons to +44 and "Cheshire Cat-era blink-182." As a steward of the Fake-Bit sub-genre of chiptunes, Fake-Bit Rebel creates music that is both nostalgic and innovative, blending retro gaming sounds with modern punk and rock influences.
