With songs about life, faith and where the rubber hits the road, Joe Tourist brings a wide spectrum of colors when it comes to music expressing the human predicament at the crux of life and faith. " Where the rubber hits the road" is the term that Tim Gagnon used to describe the band's music. Gagnon is one of the chief songwriters as well as the drummer and occasional vocalist. Guitars and some vocals are held down by Kevin Angus as well as picking up the other half of the songwriting efforts. Gagnon and Angus have enjoyed cowriting songs with one another as well. Shawn Kroker has been a more recent addition to the group, and has really honed in her vocal talents in the studio during the CoVid shutdowns. She is a natural and very creative when it comes to harmony and has also been contributing to the songwriting efforts. Rob Van Ouwerkerk has been a drummer/percussionist most of his life and has been gracing Joe Tourist with his percussive genius for a few years now. Our former bass player Lee Lewis, is featured on the first two albums. The three latter mentioned players have also been contributing to some songwriting efforts recently as well. We are happy to welcome our newest member, bass player John Scherrchi. He is a very smooth and sensitive player with great dynamics and a wonderful addition to the group!
