Michael Kalisky Schutz, born on August 15, 2001, has a preference for electric guitars as his primary instrument, followed by classic and acoustic variations. He received his formal music education at 'Metro-West' High School in Raanana, Israel, where he immersed himself in subjects like Jazz History, Music History, Arrangements, Hearing, and Harmony. Actively involved in the local music scene, he played a prominent role as the lead guitarist in the Big Band and also contributed to the Jazz ensemble. In the summer of 2018, Michael had the privilege of joining the esteemed 'All Stars Jazz' ensemble at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. His dedication and talent were evident in his exceptional grades across all his courses. Despite earning a prestigious four-year scholarship to Berklee, he deferred his enrollment due to his mandatory three-year service in the Israeli army. Nonetheless, he continued to refine his skills on both electric and classical guitars. Throughout his younger years, Michael consistently displayed remarkable talent in the field of music, garnering accolades in both 2016 and 2017. His exceptional abilities did not go unnoticed, as he received a prestigious music award for excellence from the city mayor in 2018. Notably, in 2022, he embarked on his educational journey at the renowned Rimon Jazz Institute, where he eagerly expanded his musical repertoire and honed his skills even further.
