Justin Espada is a DJ and producer originally from the USA, who is currently living in Germany. His unique, cross-genre mixing style fuses contemporary techno and house music with elements of early disco, R&B, and funk. With his compositions he integrates rhythmic basslines and genre-bending drum patterns, with layers of obscure yet melodic chord and stab progressions. Much of his inspiration comes from his love of early Motown, soul and disco, while also heavily influenced by Detroit techno pioneers Juan Atkins, Mike Banks, and Jeff Mills, to name a few; incorporating their philosophy of musical innovation and futurism while also paying tribute to the black origins of techno music.
