Frankie P is a MC and producer who has achieved traction and local success over the last few years, a result of the long hours she’s spent grinding hard on the local scene and sharing songs on her SoundCloud page. With a passion for lyricism and production, Frankie’s fervent wordplay and eclectic sound expose a truly intelligent artist whose crisp delivery has the power to provoke an extensive response from listeners. Her first single, “fade” was introduced on the DIME Sessions Vol. 3 album, and co-produced by Grammy-award winning producer Quentin Dennard II. Born a Detroit native, Frankie started her musical journey listening to jazz, video game soundtracks, and Prince. She realized her dream of becoming a hip-hop artist in seventh grade, when she performed her first live set at a back-to-school rally. As a freshman in high school, she joined the Marching Band as a percussionist, performing at events like the Thanksgiving Parade and Barack Obama’s 2013 Presidential Inauguration in Washington DC. She has also done impromptu performances for recording artists Logic and Big Sean. In 2015, she was apart of the Adidas Originals campaign for the opening of the Sean Anderson Studio of Infinite Possibilities at Cass Tech High School. Frankie has performed alongside Detroit’s Slum Village, Charity, Miz Korona, Boog Brown, and more. Frankie's sound is heavily influenced by jazz, abstract instrumentation, substantial emphasis on lyricism, and funk/neo-soul undertones.
