Music for the fun and joy of it; to express not impress, as a practice of allowing myself the freedom to feel what is arising moment to moment; doing my best to stay true and honor what wants to be shared and uncovered and discovered and revealed and expressed from my inner world / the mystery / wherever it is songs come from. Songs to me are offerings that invite us to connect together in an alternate sound-dimension, a place where we can all just be for a little while; a brief shared experience in a temporary sonic community, where emotions can be felt and heard and seen and honored and transformed and the songs remind us we’re not alone. Music for me is a place where it all belongs. I started this project with my friend Dave Chapman back in 2015 just to play around with eletronicky sounds and it’s all just one big experiment in taking risks and throwing paint at the wall and being brave and seeing what happens and trying to enjoy the process and take it seriously and not seriously at the same time. Sometimes I put too much pressure on myself and then I remember we’re all just tiny ladybugs to the moon or not even, more like specks of dust or peach fuzz; tiny atoms in relation to the sun. In this way I can see that the ladybug is just like me, we’re the same: one tiny part of everything.
