Growing up in East Berlin he loved listening to music on his father's tape recorder as a child. So he came into contact with music by Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode but also synth pioneers like Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Alan Parsons Project... He experienced the fall of the Berlin Wall as a teenager and a short time later he discovered the vibrant techno scene in Berlin.
