Tales, formerly known as The Winter Gypsy, are a five-piece indie/alternative folk group from Adelaide, South Australia. Their soft folk melodies, haunting vocal harmonies and soaring instrumentals make for an intimate yet energetic live sound. Winners of the SA Music Award’s ‘Best Folk Artist’ in 2017, the band has continued to reach new heights following the release of their dreamy single, Bojke. The complex dichotomy of both ambient and driving, distorted sounds has drawn comparisons to The Middle East, Sigur Ros & Death Cab For Cutie. The band has had the privilege of sharing the stage with the likes of Matt Corby, Jet, San Cisco, The Temper Trap, Tash Sultana, and many, many more – along with a loyal fan-base that has resulted in several sold-out headline shows.
