El unico gio born in Canada from Salvadoran parents. Music has been a part of El unico gio’s life since 10, recording his first song at the age of 14 and doing his first live performance at the age of 15 at the Citidel Theatre located in Edmonton downtown. El unico gio has been very fortunate to work with many artists around the world like LA CONNEXION, FULANITO, SONORA DYNAMITA, BRRAY and many more. El unico gio founded Basement smoke records in the year 2021 bringing a label to Alberta that is willing to work with artists of any genre, Alberta has a lot of talent and basement smoke records goal is to bring all that talent to light, He is also the first latino musician in urban music from his city to be nominated into the Latin awards Canada at the begining of 2023. El unico gio is an active musician in Edmonton bringing the Spanglish touch to the music scene in Alberta. He is currently working on a few projects from r&b, hip hop, boombap, reggaeton, trap and even rock!
