Pools began in Tempe, Arizona in the early 2000's as a solo-project of Robert Julian Fronzo. Many members cycled through, but ultimately the main lineup had been settled on Robert Julian Fronzo on vocals/guitar, JD Beatty on drums, Brett Lane on bass/vocals, as well as Graham Andrew Cowley on keyboards/vocals. The band got two full length albums and a handful of EP's released before the eventual split. Pools sound can be described only as catchy and nostalgic. Robert has since joined the early '90s slowcore band Idaho.
