R. Cory Johnson is a native of Jacksonville, Fl. and has been playing music for all of his life. As a young child, he grew up listening to Gospel music on 8 tracks and record players, as well as the radio, cassette tapes .He started playing the drums at his church at the age of 10, and around the same time, he began learning melodies on the piano and keyboard, which started him on his 2nd instrument choice. It was then that he started writing and arranging music with his childhood friends from his local church and school. He is now an accomplished music producer, and owns his own recording studio in Atlanta Georgia and is the founder and CEO of Melodic Music Productions, which is a production and entertainment company that provides all types of music from studio records, to live perfomances, and videos. Some of his best work can be found on the EMTRO Gospel Record Label, where he produced Bonafide Praisers, which includes the Stellar nominated, and 2008, #3 Gospel radio single, Work It Out. He has also performed, recorded, traveled and toured around the United States and world with such artists as: Allen & Allen, Byron Cage, Georgia Mass Choir, Donnie McClurkin, Ron Kenoly, Clint Brown, Kim Burrell, Troy Sneed, Men Of Standard, and Marvin Sapp to name just a few.Cory's passion is writing, creating, and playing music, and God has and still is blessing him to be successful at it, and touch people all over the world with his musical gifts and talents.
