BW3 is the brainchild of trombonist, electronic artist, and bandleader Brendan Whalen. Frustrated with the boundaries of traditional music styles, Whalen quickly began to develop a unique sound of his own using a combination of electric trombone, original samples created with an SP404, and improvisation. Since their first performance as a band in 2023, BW3 is making waves in the creative music scene in a big way. Their debut studio album “BW3” combines lush, ambient textures with ripping electric trombone, break-neck drum and bass, abrasive boom bap beats, and experimental free jazz to create a cutting edge sonic experience.
