Jamar’s entire life has revolved around making music. As the son of legendary Gospel singer Marvin Sapp, Jamar grew up surrounded by music. He spent his childhood and early teen years as a member of his church’s gospel choir, where he learned just how powerful music can be as a means of self-expression. After spending many years as a part of the choir, Jamar began to experiment in making music of his own. While gospel was a large part of his life, Jamar felt it was making it difficult to express himself, and he knew that his inner artist needed to be completely free in order to find his own voice. Once he began writing music, Jamar soon realized that his gifts spread well beyond performing music, as he also began to produce for himself and others.
