Ellie Walker & The Folly: ‘folksy pop’ from Cambridgeshire. EW&TF are a four piece whose piano led ‘folk pop nuggets’ have been captivating listeners both live and on record since they formed in late 2022. Ellie’s ‘soulful and colourful songs’ are sprinkled with catchy melodies, lustrous harmonies and thoughtful, honest lyrics, brought to life by ‘The Folly’ (Mike - guitar, Max - bass, Mark - drums). Heavily influenced by her favourite artists Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks, Ellie draws musical inspiration from her own life experiences as well as others around her. The band’s debut album, ‘Sink Or Swim’, was released in October 2023 to glowing reviews. Recent live performances include Cambridge Folk Club, The Junction, Ely Folk Club, Royston Live and The Blue Moon, and the band are looking forward to many more shows and festivals in 2024.
