A classically trained pianist, violinist, and cellist, Lady Ocean taught herself how to produce music and DJ by the age of 14. She currently writes, produces, mixes, and engineers all of her own music. On a never-ending mission to revolutionize dance music, Lady Ocean draws upon her Persian heritage by fusing traditional Middle Eastern and South Asian sounds with modern stylings of deep house, future house, and bass music, to create a sonic identity uniquely her own. Having been diagnosed with cancer at the age of 19, she turned to music as an outlet to tell her story and help overcome the obstacles presented to her in the wake of her diagnosis.
